Our business begins with the forest landowner and standing timber. Most of our logs come from timber grown on private lands, so we are committed to helping landowners manage their forests for generations to come. Forest and wood products are like any other crop. Trees that are mature, poor quality, diseased, or of undesirable species, should be removed periodically. A properly thinned timber stand promotes forest health, protects your investment, and concentrates growth, sunlight, and nutrients on the best quality trees. Forest management also provides for an abundance of plant species on the forest floor that are enjoyed by animals such as white-tailed deer and wild turkeys. Ultimately, proper thinning of trees promotes a more diverse ecosystem.
FORESTRY SERVICES
We're a 3rd generation family owned sawmill located in Strum, WI. Our mill buys standing hardwood timber and logs. If you are interested in logging a property or have logs for sale, just send us a message! We specialize in hunting properties, oak timber regeneration, and general forest management. Our focus is on improving the overall health of the woods. We offer landowners timber value estimates, MFL compliance, trail construction/repair, job site clean up, and property line surveying.
